On this date in 1979, The Stranglers released their twelfth 7-inch record. It was a four song EP that included "
Don't Bring Harry", "
Wired" and two live tracks, "
Crabs" and "
In The Shadows". "
Don't Bring Harry" was from their fourth studio album,
The Raven, while "
Wired" was a Hugh Cornwell solo track from his solo album,
Nosferatu. The EP reached the #41 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The Surrey, U.K. punk/post punk band is still performing and recording, though without original lead singer, Hugh Cornwell, who left in 1990.
