Adam and The Ants - Dog Eat Dog

On this date in 1980, Adam and The Ants released their sixth single, "Kings Of The Wild Frontier". It was backed by "Press Darlings". Both songs appeared on the U.S. version of their second album, Kings Of The Wild Frontier, but "Press Darlings" did not appear on the U.K. version. The single reached the #48 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The London punk/post punk band broke up in 1982 when Adam ditched the rest of the Ants and went solo. Well...almost all The Ants. He retained guitarist, co-songwriter Marco Pirroni.
