The Valves - Tarzan Of The Kings Road

On this date in 1977, The Valves released their second single, "Tarzan Of The Kings Road". The B side was "Ain't No Surf In Portobello". The Edinburgh, Scotland punk band released a total of three singles but did not produce an album by the time they called it quits in 1979.

Bassist Pada Scott, when asked what the name of their album would be, once said Can't Stand The Rezillos Either, poking fun at their countrymen's album. There was, of course, no album under this or any other title. The band's lead singer was Dee Robot.
